Peru - 'Alto Mayo'
$2 from each unit (per 1kg or 2kg) of coffee purchased will be donated to the Revelstoke Cycling Association.
This is an organic fully washed grade 1 field blend from San Martin, Peru. It reminds us of toffee, honey and oat cookies (Anzac biscuits if you speak Australian or Hob Nobs if you speak British) and has lovely yellow fruit acidity. It’s another crushable every day drinker on drip and a super sweet espresso, we love it!
Cooperativa Agraria Cafetalera Alto Mayo, is a coffee farmers cooperative founded in 2012 by 3 women and 12 men who wanted to ensure that coffee production was profitable enough to support their own and other families. Today the coop has over 1500 members across 53 production zones. In 2020, Alto Mayo launched their ‘Coffee Mujeres LMF’ project that focusses on empowering female growers to improve their coffee quality by building drying modules on their farm and teaching proper drying practices.
We have released this coffee in collaboration with Revelstoke local bike shop, Flowt. A portion of the proceeds of the sale of this coffee will go towards the Revelstoke Cycling Association (RCA) and will help fund local mountain bike trail maintenance.
