Our first coffee from Asia, 'Behind The Leaf' is a natural anaerobic from the indigenous Pa-O villages of Myanmar. It comes courtesy of the amazing Forward Specialty Green Coffee Importers out of Calgary.
The 'Behind The Leaf' micro-mill is a small team project founded by Melanie Edwards that aims to organize villages around the Pinlaung township to produce and process high quality coffee to educate the local people on the potential the crop can yield for them.
It's a really elegant, clean and sessionable natural anaerobic with still a good deal of fruit and a very mild funk. We're tasting white grape and a honeyed sweetness.
